Paste a Reel link and get its audio track as MP3 in the highest bitrate Instagram delivers, with the cover image embedded. You can also take only a section, for example the 15 seconds you want to use as a sound.
Instagram sound pages (instagram.com/reels/audio/…) are not supported yet; paste a Reel that uses the sound instead.
How it works
- Copy the Reel link Tap Share on the Reel and choose Copy link.
- Paste and choose Audio The Audio · MP3 tab is preselected on this page.
- Optional: only a part Turn on Only a section and enter start and end, e.g. 0:05 to 0:20. Then download.
FAQ
What bitrate is the MP3?
We take Instagram's best audio stream (usually 128 kbit/s AAC) and convert it to MP3 at the highest quality setting, so nothing extra is lost.
Can I extract just 10 seconds?
Yes. Turn on Only a section, enter start and end times, and you get exactly that part as MP3.
Is the audio copyrighted?
Often yes. Use downloaded music only where you have the rights, for example inside Instagram with the platform's own licensed audio.
Is this really free?
Yes. Every tool on Shortform Kit is free, with no account, no watermark and no daily limit for normal use. We run it on our own server and keep costs low on purpose.
Do you store my files or links?
No. The file is created for you, kept for 15 minutes so you can save it, then deleted automatically. We don't log which links you paste.
Which content is allowed?
Only public posts. Private accounts, stories that need a login and age-restricted videos don't work, and we never ask for your password. Download only content you have the right to use.
