About Shortform Kit

Shortform Kit is made by Diego Brügger, a senior video editor based in Zürich, Switzerland. He cuts documentary series, sports tutorials and brand films for a living and spends a lot of time in DaVinci Resolve. The tools here started as scripts he used himself: saving a client's Reel in full quality, grabbing a clean frame for a thumbnail, cutting a 20-second section out of a long talk.

The rule for every tool: it has to be free, work without an account, and cost us nothing per use. That means we only build things that run on our own server or in your browser. No paid APIs, no credits, no daily limit, no watermark.

What we don't do

We don't ask for your login to any platform, we don't store the links you paste, and files are deleted 15 minutes after they are created. There is no tracking beyond a privacy-friendly page counter (Umami, no cookies, no personal data).
