When should I still use Kapwing?
When you need to edit on a timeline, add text and music, work with a team or dub a video. Shortform Kit does single jobs from a link, it is not an editor.
Can I edit the subtitles?
You get a standard SRT file that opens in any editor, including Kapwing, CapCut, Premiere and DaVinci Resolve.
Is this really free?
Yes. Every tool on Shortform Kit is free, with no account, no watermark and no daily limit for normal use. We run it on our own server and keep costs low on purpose.
Do you store my files or links?
No. The file is created for you, kept for 15 minutes so you can save it, then deleted automatically. We don't log which links you paste.
Which content is allowed?
Only public posts. Private accounts, stories that need a login and age-restricted videos don't work, and we never ask for your password. Download only content you have the right to use.
