The countdown runs in your own time zone and ticks every second while the page is open. It always points at the next Thanksgiving, the fourth Thursday of November, so in 2026 that is Thursday 26 November. The browser tab shows the days left, so you can keep it open in the background.

Tap Full screen to show it big on a laptop or TV while you plan the menu or wait for the family to arrive. On Thanksgiving it shows a greeting, and the day after it starts counting to next year.

Everything runs inside your browser. Nothing is uploaded and nothing is stored on our server, so it also works for private material.

## How it works

1. **Open the page** The countdown starts right away in your time zone.
2. **Keep it running** The browser tab shows the days left, even in the background.
3. **Show it big** Tap Full screen for the TV or the kitchen tablet.
