Instagram, TikTok and X have no strikethrough button. These versions add Unicode combining lines to every character, so the line stays when you paste the text.

WhatsApp and Discord also have their own formatting (~text~ in WhatsApp, ~~text~~ in Discord); this works where those do not. Screen readers may read the marks, so use it for a word or two.
